About Us
Boerne Gymnastics Center was started by Lorna Spellman in 1983 under the name of Fantastic Gymnastics. Lorna and her family moved to Boerne in 1982 from Louisiana where she operated a gymnastics program for 8 years. While planning to become a stay at home mom, Lorna quickly discovered that Boerne was in need of a quality gymnastics program. After a humble beginning in the gym behind St. Peters Catholic Church where equipment had to be set up and put away every day, she decided to build a permanent facility. Her goal was to create a gymnastics and fitness facility that would allow children to pursue their gymnastics goals and dreams. The new Boerne Gymnastics Center at its current location was built in 1991.
